As UCLG-MEWA Committee on Environment together with Tehran Municipality, we invite you to our Webinar titled "Environmental Diplomacy and Its Impacts on Improving International Relations" which will be held on Wednesday June 9, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. (7:30 a.m. UTC), on the occasion of World Environment Day.
International actors such as international organizations and governments play important roles in environmental protection and sustainable development frameworks with a focus on human life. Adherence to common international agreements and the need to comply with jurisprudence are crucial foundations for achieving sustainable development and explaining the role of environmental diplomacy. Environmental threats and dangers underline the strategic importance of strengthening international integration in the light of environmental diplomacy.
Our Webinar, in which speeches will be made with the focus of Environmental Diplomacy, aims to draw attention to environmental issues at the international level, to encourage improving the environmental quality in cities by developing international cooperations, and to touch on the role of international environmental commitments in strengthening international relations.
